On Sunday April 27th, Southend Wheelers present The Florrie Newbury Classic Women's road race as the first round of the 2025 British Women's Team Cup competition.
Florrie Newbery was the first female to join Southend Wheelers on 3rd February 1937. Florrie went on to lead many club runs and was also the first female committee member.
This race is dedicated to Florrie. The race offers a testing course with a long climb and a fast descent.
Will the breakaway stay away? Or will the hill to the finish be the decider this year?

East Hanningfield Village Hall, The Tye, CM3 8AE
