Event 1: Milton Keynes

FIRST RACE MARRED  BY ACCIDENT

The first race in the British Team Cup was held at Milton Keynes Bowl in reasonable weather with even a little sunshine.

After 20 minutes of fast spirited racing an accident occurred with, among others, Olivia Bentley, Team LDN-Brother UK, Laura Pittard, Team Vision Innovative Leisure. But the worse injured was French guest Lea Bonnafous, it was her knee that hit the tarmac first so the race was stopped whilst an ambulance was  called for. After a long wait for the ambulance it was decided that it was best to officially call the race ABANDONED. 

A sad end to the start of the season but our thoughts go to Lea.
